Some are forced apparently.

Guessing maybe Balbuena and Cress are not fit? Did'nt Arnie have slight strain after game aswell?

Why the changes?

Fuck me these cunts have played just 14 games in over 4 months, should be fresh as fucking daisies.
Defensively we just don't have options, can't afford to chuck any more points away

Apparently half a dozen changes tonight..

Everyone seems to have forgotten Diangana. Odd, because he hasn't done anything wrong.

Re: WHU team Vs Cardiff City?
If it's Masuaku and Antonio I think we need to have both Rice and Obiang sitting in front of the back 4 to provide additional protection for when those two are inevitably caught out of position. I'd probably sacrifice Snodgrass and go 4-3-1-2.

Fab

Masuaku
Diop
Ogbonna (Balbuena if fit)
Antonio

Rice
Noble
Obiang

Anderson

Arnie
Hernandez

Ogbonna is decent but needs a run in the team to get up to speed.

Start Carroll or Xande fucking Silva? What's wrong with you cunts? Fucking ridiculous.

cardiff's defence dont defend well against pace and running in behind their defence (silva's main asset)

marko needs to be rested where possible, as he said himself he normally needs 2/3 days to fully recover after games. Can always come on from the bench if it doesnt work

Hopefully not too many changes from the weekend. It would be nice to put two results in a row together.

Antonio on the right wing yes, Antonio at right back no.
Losing the ball in the opponents half is a little better than losing it
Near our goal, we need to put a defender there, any defender.

Doubt Zabaleta will start but I'd try and name the same team as saturday injuries permitting. Hopefully be in the position to hook Arnie after 60 mins then give them a couple of days off before the palace game. Carroll will come in handy tonight.

If we can then an unchanged side from.Saturday would be my preference.

Ogbonna concerns me.
Bloke cant mark at set pieces and that's what Cardiff will be all about.
When VAR comes in next season he'll be conceding 2 pens a game

Ex saying there are a few changes to the team tonight

Re: WHU team Vs Cardiff City?
i just had an idea, how about giving Xande silva a chance up top alongside Hernandez and rest Arnie

both got pace and like to run in behind

Grapes

Might be playing centre back as Balbuena picked up a knock.

I say play Masuaku and Antonio and just go for it. What is the worst that can happen? Followed Cardiff a fair bit because of Hoilett and they certainly can be run at and exploited with speed.

I think Carroll would overall be better used in another game but should certainly come on and give Arnautovic a rest at some point.

I'm starting to lean towards Carroll starting and giving Arnie a rest.Think we need Carroll at set pieces at both ends. Give him 60 mins then bring on Arnie
Still not sure though on Rice dropping back against Cardiff unless he plays the central of the 3 and can come out with the ball.
We have a squad for a reason.
100% from the start, Anderson for all his abilities needs to know that Cardiff won't give up with out a fight, wear them down then like Newcastle he can show his class.

Re: WHU team Vs Cardiff City?
Oggy in for Cressy at LB as he is left footed an all could do a job he shit but not kamakazi like Masuaku

Vexed 12:40 Tue Dec 4
Re: WHU team Vs Cardiff City?
Antonio and Masuaku in a back four is surely going to be disastrous. We'd have to score three just to get a point.

Re: WHU team Vs Cardiff City?
Not the sure our manager is going decide that Cardiff City at home is the first time he is going to use 3 at the back, ever, no matter who we have available.

Re: WHU team Vs Cardiff City?
I would expect it to be Rossal's side. Pelle is the sort of manager who tinkers with the side but not the system so I'll eat my hat if he switches to a back three.

Re: WHU team Vs Cardiff City?
I can't believe some people are advocating resting some players tomorrow, we're not Man City, we need our strongest side possible.
